Project 1: Review of Trader Joes

1. What was your first impression of this site?
   • It is a bit cluttered, but well designed.
2. How does this site organize the flow of information? (Do they have links on the left and text on the right? Some other scheme? No scheme?)
   • The links are all on the left, or as links to products that are in the main body.
3. Does the site structure make sense or does it confuse you? Why?
   • The site structure makes sense to me. This is because its simple.
4. Does the site graphics/layout/multimedia enhance the site or detract from it? Why?
   • It can be a bit cluttered if you leave the pop ups up, but the graphics are all on theme.
5. How long did it take for the home page to load? Was the load time reasonable?
   • It is practically instant, less than a second. It was very reasonable.
6. Was the text color and size readable? If a background color or image was used, did it enhance or detract from the site?
   • The text color and size of the font is great - all black on gray or white and the smallest is probably an 11.
7. Did the site have a navigation bar or other navigation tool? Was the navigation well done?
   • The navigation bar is okay. It seems to be a bit sharp, and is permanently on the home screen, but not on other sub-sites.
8. Did the site have a color scheme or look and feel that was repeated on all the pages?
   • The color scheme was okay - black, white, and gray - and repeated everywhere. The feel and look were repeated but just felt lacking.
9. How does the site respond to smaller window sizes (responsive design)?
   • If you haven't agreed to the privacy policy, you can't see a thing. It does fine, but looks a bit worse.
10. What does this site offer that was unusual or very well done?
    • The site has a lot of images that don't look good or don't fit as well in the smaller window sizes. It has nothing that I would call extraordinary.
